Report: NLL Has TV Deal in Place with CBS
Reports have said that the National Lacrosse League has a TV deal in place with the CBS Sports Network for the 2012 and 2013 NLL seasons. In Lax We Trust learned about this this past week from several sources, but they did not want it reported before the official announcement, which has not been made yet.
The deal has games to be televised in April and one game will be broadcasted on the CBS main channel. The reports have also said that CBS network could have Major League Lacrosse games on their networks in 2012, which is interesting because they have a current deal with ESPN2. The NLL games will run through April, like said above, along with select playoff games and the NLL Champions Cup in May.
The deal should be official within the next week. Stay tuned to In Lax We Trust for more on this big news as more details break. This will be discussed more throughout the Lacrosse Radio Network in the coming days as well.
What do you think of the deal? Discuss below.

It's a start
Well it’s a good starting point, and it makes sense what CBS is doing, starting in April, they will be coming off the high traffic of the March Madness and Basketball National Championships. If they market it the way NBC does the NHL game of the week, huge positive for the game.
It's not a negative for the league
which pretty much acts like a positive.
