Boston-Chesapeake Statistical Analysis 6/25
On Saturday the Cannons improved to 5-1 by beating the Bayhawks 17-10 and sending them to 3-3. Boston was led by the newly announced all stars such as Ryan Boyle, Paul Rabil and Matt Poskay.
Chesapeake showed some life in this game by going in to the half leading by one goal thanks to Ben Hunt and Ben Rubeor both having 3 point performances. The game was then put away as the Cannons closed out the second half by outscoring the Hawks 11-3. Now, let's get down to business and see how the different players played and shot.
Here are the top performers for the winning Boston Cannons:
Boston
| Rank | Player | Rating |
| 1 | Kevin Buchanan | 6 |
| 2 | Paul Rabil | 5 |
| 3 | Matt Poskay | 4 |
| 4 | Ryan Boyle | 2 |
| 5 | Jordan Burke | 2 |
Paul Rabil is really impressing me so far this season. He is tied for 2nd in the league for goals (15), 6th for 2 point goals (1), and 4th in assists (10).
Chesapeake's top 5 players:
Chesapeake
| Rank | Player | Rating |
| 1 | Ben Rubeor | 4 |
| 2 | Justin Smith | 3 |
| 3 | Ben Hunt | 3 |
| 4 | Steve DeNapoli | 2 |
| 5 | Kyle Dixon | 2 |
Danny Glading seemed to have an off game stats-wise. He was averaging around 3.5 points per game coming into this game and was held to just a single assist. Ben Rubeor kept playing at the same level that he has been at this season, if not improving, by scoring twice and dishing off the ball for an additional two assists.
There were many players who only attempted a couple of shots, so for this stat recap for effective shooting percentages I decided to just look at the players who took at least 5 shots.
| Player | Goals | Shots on Goal | Total Shots | eS% |
| Justin Smith | 3 | 5 | 6 | 0.667 |
| Kevin Buchanan | 4 | 5 | 7 | 0.653 |
| Brad Ross | 2 | 3 | 5 | 0.480 |
| Paul Rabil | 3 | 8 | 11 | 0.397 |
| Ben Hunt | 2 | 3 | 8 | 0.281 |
Just off of the list was Matt Poskay who netted all three of the shots that he took.
I will go over the final weekend game (Denver-Long Island) tomorrow.
