Chesapeake-Rochester Statistical Analysis 7/2
On Saturday, the Chesapeake Bayhawks were able to hold off a 3 goal streak in the fourth quarter in order to beat the Rattlers 13-11 and keep them winless (0-7).
If we look at records alone, Chesapeake was 3-3 entering this game and Rochester was 0-6. Chesapeake was expected to win this game (they won 14-10 in their previous meeting this season) because Rochester had yet to find a win this season. Like in most of Rochester's game this season, this game was kept close but Rochester ended up falling short at the end.
Chesapeake had lost 2 straight heading into this game, but behind a strong offensive output by Dan Hardy and Steven Brooks and a good defensive performance plus an added goal by Matt Abbott the Bayhawks were able to end this losing skid. Matt Abbott wins my MVP.
