NLL Week Six Three Stars
Hey all, I have the three stars again for this week. This is the second straight week that I am on three stars duty, and this might be one of the toughest weeks to judge it. Here is my best shot at naming the best three players in the NLL during week six.
Number Three- Frankie Scigliano, Calgary Roughnecks
Scigliano, a rookie with the Calgary Roughnecks, had to come into the game against the Washington Stealth on Friday, replacing starting goalie Mike Poulin and saved 34 of the 39 shots he saved, leading the Roughnecks to a one goal win. Not to mention, Scigliano went into this season as the 'Necks third string goalie. Impressive.
Number Two- Andrew Suitor, Minnesota Swarm
Andrew Suitor has arguably been the best player in Minnesota this season, representing them as an all star game starter. Suitor showed impressive skills on the defensive side against the Rochester Knighthawks on Sunday, plus he had three goals in his two games this weekend. Overall, he had the best showing of any runner in the NLL.
Number One- Evan Kirk, Minnesota Swarm
The Swarm have two representatives this week, with the top star being Evan Kirk in his NLL debut. Kirk, who was expected to be the second string goalie this season, took a back seat to Tyler Carlson who had replaced Nick Patterson. Though Carlson played excellent against the Edmonton Rush on Friday, Kirk got the nod against Rochester. He held the young and talented team to just six goals. I think that earns a top star.
