Bandits Do Not Acquire Paul Rabil; Trade Not Dead
9:37 PM: A single source has told me that the Rush and Bandits have not talked to each other since Tuesday. The deal is not completely dead, but Teddy Jenner of IL Indoor posted on the NLL Forums that the pieces going to Edmonton might be different.
Rabil's agent Chaka Bainbridge also tweeted tonight that the deal report was "premature", so there is a good chance we revisit this later this week.
7:58 PM: IL Indoor has taken down their report on the Paul Rabil trade and Teddy Jenner and Steve Bermel report that there is now trade. It looks like this one might have been a false alarm. Keep watching, there could be more to come.
7:17 PM: Bob Chavez from IL Indoor is reporting that the Edmonton Rush have traded Paul Rabil to the Buffalo Bandits for rookie Jeremy Thompson.
Rabil was traded to Edmonton on Monday for Athan Iannucci, but Rabil would not report to the Rush, according to head coach and general manager Derek Keenan. We heard earlier this week that he would likely be traded to an eastern conference team, and heard rumors of Buffalo and Rochester.
Jason Gregor from Team Radio in Edmonton reported yesterday that the Rush were not happy with the way the Stealth handled the trade and would not let the Rush talk to Rabil. Meanwhile, the Bandits also traded for goalie Anthony Cosmo from the Minnesota Swarm for two first round draft picks earlier this week.
Now the Bandits surrender another pick along with their second round draft choice from this season, Thompson. Buffalo had acquired two first round picks from Edmonton for defender Chris Corbeil this off season, and now those one of those picks is returned to Edmonton and the other one is in Minnesota.
That essentially means that those two first rounders turned into Cosmo and Rabil, not too bad for Buffalo, who have needed a shake up. Earlier this week it had been reported that the Bandits were close to be making a deal that was a non-Cosmo deal, and now they have made both of them.

Rabil to Bandits
At this point what are the odds that Rabil will join the Bandits? Fairly good or probably a different team?
I think it still happens
