Minnesota Swarm Replace Mike Lines, Hire Joe Sullivan
In some breaking news this evening, the Minnesota Swarm have let go of their current head coach Mike Lines and hired Joe Sullivan. The Swarm, who announced the move today on MNSwarm.com, did not give a reason as to why Lines was let go. From owner John Arlotta:
"Mike is a great offensive mind, and was a big reason for the success that we've had in that area over the last few years. I fully expect that he will be coaching again in the NLL in the near future and I want to thank him for his contributions to the Swarm and wish him all the best."
Sullivan, who is the Swarm assistant GM, will step in as his replacement. The Swarm, who traded away star players like Aaron Wilson and Ryan Cousins, were predicted to finish last in the west by most. They have surprisingly gone 3-3, all of their wins at home. They lost last week against the undefeated Colorado Mammoth.
The Swarm are in Washington this Friday night to take on the 1-5 Washington Stealth. Look for more news on the firing of Lines as we get it.
