NLL Reinstates Suspended Rochester Knighthawks
The National Lacrosse League announced tonight that they have reinstated the five suspended Rochester Knighthawks players. Sid Smith, Tyler Burton, Cody Jamieson, Jordan Hall and Travis Hill were suspended last week for an incident at a TGI Friday's in Minnesota.
The KHawks won their game against the Washington Stealth this past Saturday without these five players, including Hall and Jamieson who are their top two scorers. The loss of these players resulted in the returns of Ryan Cousins and Craig Point.
The league had suspended these players indefinitely, but after conducting the investigation, decided to allow them back for this week. The Knighthawks will be playing the Toronto Rock this Friday night, before the all star game on Saturday, which Jamieson will play in.
"It's really great that these key players are back and available for us," said Knighthawks Head Coach Mike Hasen. "I am really proud of how the guys stepped up with our key guys out. No matter who is in the lineup, we have to make sure we get the same effort we had last week."
